Matt Lang

All Night Longer

Song SALLE JEAN-GRIMALDI

One of Canada’s most promising new country artists, Matt Lang is off to a dazzling start. Originally from Maniwaki, it was in Nashville that he recorded his eponymous English-language debut album, released in 2018. Produced by Danick Dupelle, a Quebec producer who has lived in the cradle of country music for nearly 18 years and is a member of the band Emerson Drive, this opus quickly climbed to the top of the English-language sales charts in Canada, alongside… Paul McCartney and Eminem, in addition to reaching #1 on the country sales charts on iTunes in Canada. Matt Lang’s undeniable talent and international potential enabled him to rack up over 10 million online listens for his debut album, and to make a name for himself in other Canadian provinces. While the singer is determined to bring Nashville to Quebec, he also dreams of an international career.
Grand winner of the 2019 edition of the annual Top of the Country competition presented by SiriusXM Canada, Matt Lang has since distinguished himself on numerous other occasions: Gala Country (winner of “Discovery of the Year” in 2019, “Male Performer of the Year” in 2019 and 2023, “Anglophone Album of the Year” in 2019 and 2022, “Show of the Year” in 2020), Gala ADISQ (nominations for “Album of the Year – Anglophone” in 2019 and “Show of the Year – Anglophone” in 2020) and Canadian Country Music Awards (nomination for “Rising Star” in 2020). When released in spring 2020, her album More will also top the Quebec Top Sales chart, and has already racked up over 10 million listens online.
Since 2018, Matt Lang has been performing, often to sold-out crowds, across Quebec, and even opening for Tebey’s The Good Ones tour in Ontario and Western Canada. He also performs in Europe at the prestigious C2C country festival in Berlin, and at the Buckle & Boots Country Festival in the UK. During the 2022 edition of the Festival d’été de Québec, he opened for Luke Combs on the Plains of Abraham before an audience of over 80,000. The following year, his duet with Tyler Joe Miller on Never Met a Beer earned him a nomination in the “Musical Collaboration of the Year” category at the Canadian Country Music Awards. In June 2023, he released his covers album Moonlight Sessions, just after receiving a Gold certification for the 40,000 units sold of his song Getcha in Canada and a Silver ticket for the 25,000 tickets sold for his show More in Quebec.
